When Great Plates comes around, I treat it like Christmastime: being offered deals for some of my favorite local haunts is what truly makes Great Plates the most wonderful time of the year.

Plus, Great Plates, which is happening March 1 through the 14, is all for a great cause. #ICYMI, this is Downtown Fort Collins' "award-winning dining promotion and fundraiser" and "100% of donation proceeds collected during this community culinary celebration benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County," according to a press release. Sweet.

The fundraiser gathers together participating businesses and offers diners huge discounts and specials on local favorites, with the additional option to donate. Now, another exciting development has come to pass.

According to the press release, local delivery service NOSH NoCo has partnered with the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority to feature Great Plates specials on the app. That's right: if you don't feel comfortable leaving your home and supporting your local restaurants in-person, NOSH NoCo gives you a way to support at home, safely.

On the app, you'll also be able to include a donation to the Food Bank for Larimer County. Along with that, the DDA will cover the 15% NOSH NoCo restaurant commission fee to further support the cause. Essentially, NOSH NoCo is helping to make it easier than ever to support our favorite hangouts in Fort Collins.

As the 16th year of Great Plates arrives, make it a point to support your local restaurants and you local food bank: you'll be glad you did, and get a great meal in the process, too. Yum.
