Fort Collins Police are currently investigating an assault and robbery that occurred near the river at Kingfisher Natural Area last week.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on November 10, Fort Collins officers responded to an incident that had taken place at the park located off of Timberline Road. According to the 23-year-old victim, he had been hanging out alone underneath the bridge, when an unknown man approached him, demanded his wallet, and proceeded to stab him while stealing it.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. He has since been released and is on the road to recovery.

The suspect involved in this violent crime is described as being 5’11 or taller and was wearing dark clothing with a face covering at the time the assault took place. No other information is known at this time, but police are hopeful that as the investigation continues, a suspect and motive will be identified.
