Eagles Pick up Huge Momentum in Home Sweep Over Texas
After some back and forth in game outcomes, the Colorado Eagles finally hit their stride against the Texas Stars this week, sweeping them at home in the Budweiser Events Center.
When Kiefer Sherwood was recalled by the Colorado Avalanche on Nov. 3, I know I for one had an "oh no" moment. Sherwood was averaging a goal a game in his time with the Eagles. This is his first call-up of the season.
However, the Eagles proved they could do with the numbers they had as they went on to win 2-1 and 4-1 against Texas on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
On the Road Again
The Eagles will have a long stretch of road games until Saturday, Nov. 13, starting against the San Diego Gulls and finishing out the road trip facing the Texas Stars once again on their ice in Cedar Park.
A Moment of Appreciation for the Colorado Eagles Twitter Account
As someone who has been in Colorado for five years now, I've seen the intense loyalty from Colorado sports fans, for better or for worse. However, the personal connection the Colorado Eagles' social media team has developed with fans is incredible.
They truly feel like your friendly, neighborhood, hometown team, and in the best way.
Not to mention the tweets are just pure, comedic genius.
