Every Must-See Event in Downtown Fort Collins
Now that the COVID-19 pandemic is starting to wane, events are making their way back to Fort Collins.
Old Town Fort Collins is the ultimate hub for events in the Choice City. Here's what we can look forward to there and nearby in 2022:
Fort Collins Foodie Walk | Third Friday of Every Month
From 5 to 8 p.m. on the third Friday of every month, Fort Collins foodies can explore the cuisine of Old Town and the surrounding area.
According to Downtown Fort Collins, businesses like CopperMuse Distillery, Ace Hardware, Happy Lucky's Teahouse, Kilwins Chocolates & Ice Cream, Ku Cha House of Tea, Old Town Spice Shop, Rocky Mountain Olive Oil, Savory Spice, The Cooking Studio, and The Cupboard highlight their snacks and culinary products in interactive showcases.
Cost: Free.
FoCoMX | April 22 and 23
According to the Fort Collins Musicians Association (FoCoMA), this year's festival will feature 300 local artists at 30 different venues throughout downtown.
The Coloradoan reports that the event will host a silent disco in Old Town Square on Saturday (April 23).
Cost: $50 until April 21 and $60 on the days of the event. Get your tickets here.
Taste of Fort Collins | June 11 and 12
Townsquare Media's Taste of Fort Collins returns to Washington Park (not technically Old Town, but close enough) this June in what is sure to be the most epic part of the summer.
T.I. and Collective Soul are taking the downtown Fort Collins stage along with local talent that you'll be voting for. Plus, there will be tons of local food, beer, and cocktails to try all weekend long.
Cost: $20 weekend passes are available while supplies last. Get your tickets here.
Tour de Fat | Sept. 3
After a two-year break, costumes, bikes, and beer will return to Old Town for Tour de Fat 2022.
The festival's Facebook page hasn't released details about this year's event, but it will likely feature a bike parade and a party at New Belgium Brewing, as it has in years past.
Cost: Free.
Tour de Corgi | Oct. 1
Costumed corgis will flood the streets of Old Town Fort Collins on Oct. 1 for the eighth annual Tour de Corgi.
Corgi owners can register their dogs for the event, which benefits various local nonprofits. Members of the public can hang out downtown to enjoy the spectacle.
Cost: Not yet determined.
Downtown Holiday Lights | TBD
The city of Fort Collins hasn't set a date for this year's lighting ceremony, but Old Town and all of downtown will likely be covered in Christmas lights by the beginning of November.
Spectators can usually enjoy the lights through Valentine's Day.
Cost: Free.
Events aside, we can enjoy the breweries in Old Town all year long. Check out the ultimate two-day Fort Collins brewery tour in the gallery below.
