A driver was rescued from a vehicle after being trapped inside it following a crash over the weekend in Greeley.

According to an official news release, the Greeley Fire Department (GFD) responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a front door in the 1200 block of 4th Street at 4:20 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 22). When crews arrived at the scene, they discovered the house was not involved in the crash.

Rather, the vehicle - a Dodge pickup truck - had struck a parked car and a tree before coming to rest in a front yard, as per a Greeley Fire Department news release from Sunday.

The driver’s legs were trapped in the damaged truck as a result of the crash.

Crew members with the fire department used multiple extrication tools to disentangle the driver, whose legs were trapped in the heavily damaged vehicle.
