The Smiling Moose was the place to be when the Denver Broncos used to have their training camp at the University of Northern Colorado.

According to the Greeley Tribune, a building on 11th Avenue and 25th Street was torn down the week of February 17, 2020.

The last business to be in that spot was 'Pitcher's' which closed in 2015 after 10 years of operation. Prior to that, it was 'The Smiling Moose.'

The Smiling Moose was open from 1985 to 2002. Many times you'd see Broncos players in there after having practiced at UNC. It was a 'happening' place, in its day.

Before 1985, the building was home to The Hillside Junction, another 'hot spot' for college kids in Greeley. Some say that it was filling station before that.

Speaking of filling stations, according to comments on the Trib's Facebook page, the spot will be home to a new 7-11.
