How Hot Will it Be in Colorado This Summer? Weather Forecaster Predictions
It's been a long winter for most of us in Colorado, with several nights way below zero and snow piles that just never melted. If you feel like I did, then this past Monday, March 20 felt like a holiday. It was the official first day of spring.
So, will the weather here in Colorado swing to the opposite extreme for summer?
This is where good people everywhere refer to the old Farmer's Almanac for their predictions.
The Farmers’ Almanac is indeed forecasting a hot summer for most of the nation, or they call it a “Summer Sizzler.”
It's hard to tell on the map Colorado is gonna be sizzling, sweltering, or broiling, but they all sound really hot. The idea of broiling actually sounds the worst to me. Perhaps I'm picturing the cheese bubbly up on top of the lasagna. I don't want that for my skin.
There is actually a Climate Prediction Center that people seem to trust. It's forecasting the months of May, June, and July to be above normal for most of the state of Colorado.
So what are the normal temperatures for June and July in Northern Colorado? The average high in the month of June is 81 degrees and in July it's 87 degrees. So, get your spray bottle fan ready for the 4th of July, it's gonna be a scorcher if that average is gonna be above normal.
Luckily we are gifted plenty of trees for shade, lakes, and rivers to swim in, and lots and lots of cold craft beer to cool down in Northern Colorado.
