A number of announcers and NFL analysts have put the Denver Broncos on the short list of teams that should consider going after free agent Tom Brady.

The New England Patriots were eliminated from the playoffs Sunday, making Tom Brady a free agent. According to NFL insider Peter King, the Denver Broncos have an immediate need for a quarterback after the failed experiment with Joe Flacco.

NFL insider Peter King said this to WEEI radio:

“It’s apparent that they [Denver Broncos] semi-soured on Joe Flacco and he didn’t play very well when he was healthy for Denver. John Elway needs to win right now and so I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened.”

King went on to say that the Los Angeles Chargers should be very interested in picking up Tom Brady as well.

If Brady lands in Denver, he would be working with one of the best offensive line coaches in recent history, Mike Munchak. Peter King seems very confident that Munchak could put together a winning (and healthy) season for Brady.

However, even after selling his home Tom Brady's dad is skeptical. He told 24/7 Sports that it's hard for him to envision his son playing for any team other than the Patriots.

One thing is for sure, Brady and his trainer have both sold their New England homes. According to Adam Schefter, "Where there's smoke, there's fire."
