The TSA Will Now Let You Through Security Just To Hang Out
EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT: The TSA is switching things up, and these changes will take you straight back to 1998.
I've always been a sucker for a good 90s rom-com, and you can almost guarantee there will be a scene at the airport where someone runs trying to catch up with the other person but ultimately misses them.
I'm serious, it's a solid 84%.
And then 9/11 happened, and the trust was gone. You now have to take your shoes off and possibly even get a full-body scan (I'm not mad). Another perk we all lost: They also said no more to people walking their loved one all the way to the gate.
But maybe in this terrible world we're seeing the tides turn. Maybe we're finally moving in the right direction. Well, look at us go, because now you can, yet again, walk your loved one all the way to the gate.
My rom-com dreams are coming true.
You can now apply for special access to this new perk, and it's FREE. But this new program isn't available at all airports in the United States. In fact, only 13 states are participating.
Which of the 13 states?
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- California
- Indeana
- Kansas
- Michiagan
- Nebraska
- Nevada
- Ohio
- Oklahoma
- Texas
- Utah
I guess I should have mentioned that DIA in Denver isn't on the list. I bet you thought it would be on the list because we're in Colorado?
What if I told you I only skimmed the article without my glasses and thought California was Colorado?
But I've already gone too far, and I'm almost at my 250-word goal, and I want to finish writing and go back to watching 1000 Pound Sisters.
Thanks for reading.
