
Police In Northern Colorado Searching for Alleged Honey Thief
Nowadays, it seems as if someone will steal anything if given the opportunity. Some people are good-natured, while others tend to take whatever they want.
Honor System Farm Stands in Northern Colorado
If you drive all over the backroads of Northern Colorado, you will find little farm stands that are based on the honor system. You take what you want, and leave the money. As you can imagine, the people who run these stands are very trusting people and expect members of the community to do the right thing.
One of these tiny farm stands in Weld County was recently a victim of theft as an alleged suspect stole more than two dozen pounds of honey in Berthoud, Colorado.

According to the Weld County Sheriff's Office, a suspect is sought in connection with an alleged honey theft reported by a business in the 2500 block of East Highway 56. The alleged thief made away with 26 pounds of honey on April 12, 2026.
Authorities Asking for Public Help
Currently, the charges are merely accusations until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
