I don't know about you, but seeing the Northern Lights in real time has always been on my bucket list. In fact, this is a pretty high priority. Tonight, you may not have to travel to Iceland or Alaska for the opportunity to see the Northern Lights.

According to KDVR, there is a chance to witness the celestial phenomenon in the state of Colorado. The chance is not all that great, but there is still a possibility.

Where in Colorado can you see the Northern Lights?

your best chance to view the Northern Lights in Colorado is going to be in the northeastern part of the state. The timeframe could be anywhere from 11 p.m. Wednesday night to 5 a.m. Thursday morning.

Driving further north into Wyoming or the Panhandle of Nebraska will increase your chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

Space Weather Live is predicting a KP-Index forecast of a KP7 going into Thursday during this geomagnetic storm with is at approximately a G2.

KP index levels vary from one to nine with nine being the strongest. Geomagnetic storm levels range from one to four. One is a minor storm and four are severe.

This might be a prime opportunity to get in your vehicle and make a road trip to northeastern Colorado or even up to Wyoming and the Nebraska panhandle. You could even call into work tomorrow too... We're sure your boss would totally understand.
