What? Colorado Man Throws Coffee At Elk Due to Being Late to Work
How could someone be so obnoxious to wildlife in Colorado? Look, we know that elk can be in the way sometimes in Colorado. But, we have seen Colorado tourists and others acting incredibly stupid across the state.
You would assume that most people keep their distance from elk when they see them and respect them. However, you would be surprised at some people's actions.
Some Stupidity This Year in Colorado
We have been following elk closely because they are acting more aggressively during the rut, which is also their mating season.
The first video that caught our attention was a viral video of a group of tourists cornering elk in a lake near Estes Park.
Then a few months later, a man was shamed on video for intentionally shooting golf balls at an elk at a driving range in Estes Park.
Another video has gone viral because of a Coloradans interaction with an elk.
Coffee Video Goes Viral in Colorado
We came across a video shared by AccuWeather featuring a man in Evergreen who was running late for work when he encountered an elk blocking his path. Instead of taking a reasonable approach and going in another direction, he did the opposite of any expert's recommendation. He approached the elk and threw his coffee at it.
Spectators rightfully criticized the man for his actions. I usually try to understand where people are coming from, but I will be frank, this guy does not know or understand anything about elk. This was an incredibly dumb thing to do.
