We all love Costco because they have practically everything. Well, just about everything. There are 16 Costco locations in Colorado and hundreds of locations across the nation. There have been some significant changes to the membership-based store. For example, any locations require you to scan your membership card upon entry.

All Costco locations in Colorado are getting rid of one section of goods in 2025. We are assuming because sales are low.

As a Costco member myself, I am a bit annoyed because I bought items from this section often.

Costco has always sold books. I remember when I was a little kid, my mom bought me a pack of Dr. Suess books that I loved dearly. I still buy a book from time to time when I shop at Costco.

Costco recently announced that they will not have a book section in their stores anymore. That means that you will need to get your cookbooks, best-sellers, and Harry Potter collections at either local bookstores or online.

There are many great local and independently owned bookstores in Colorado. I highly recommend that you check those out.

Even though Costco is eliminating its book section in their stores, they will still sell some books seasonally. We imagine that holiday books will still be sold.

Costco will officially stop selling books at some point in 2025.

There is no exact date, so we imagine that there will be different dates depending on which Costco location you go to in Colorado.
