Living in numerous cities across the United States, I have seen my fair share of rats in cities like Portland, Oregon, and Tampa, Florida. Colorado, on the other hand, I don't think I can honestly say that I have ever seen a rat.

According to Orkin, Denver ranks pretty high on the list, beating out major metropolotian areas like Dallas, Texas, Miami, Florida, and Baltimore, Maryland.

Orkin tracked rodent services of owner-occupied residences over the course of a full year from August 2024 to August 2025. Denver, Colorado, is ranked as the tenth rattiest city in the nation.

While other major metropolotian areas ranked higher on the list, the fact that Denver ranked so high is enough to make a rodent-fearing person squirm. These are the top cities on the list that beat out Denver for the rattiest cities:
