Eldora Mountain’s Co-Working Collective is So Colorado

Many Coloradans work remotely, which allows for freedom and flexibility when it comes to where they sit down to do their job for the day. Whether it be from home, a coffee shop, or another location, having the ability to choose is definitely a plus for remote employees. A change of scenery is good for the brain too.

But wouldn't the ultimate Colorado work day be if you could head up on a chairlift and ski or ride a few runs between meetings? This daydream has recently become a reality thanks to Boulder entrepreneur and ski enthusiast, Adam Kroll.

In partnership with Eldora Mountain, Kroll created a free co-working collective that puts real meaning to "work hard, play harder." The group meets in the resort's West Wing lodge every Thursday and first Friday of the month during ski season. Upon arriving, guests can sign up for voluntary shifts to watch other people's belongings in the slopeside office, while they go do a quick run or two down the mountain.

Attendees are rewarded with Eldora swag just for showing up and are also given a punch card for the opportunity to earn additional prizes.

Even if you're not planning on skiing or riding, it's a refreshing place to work for the day, with epic views. Another major perk - free coffee is provided all day long!

The dedicated workspace is equipped with partitioned high-speed wi-fi, which helps to avoid any network lagging. Signs are posted on tables letting others know to be quiet and considerate of those working in the West Wing. The whole thing is relatively low-key and perfect for people with flexible schedules.

Welcoming remote workers during the weekdays is a great way for Eldora to increase visitation. Several other ski resorts across the country offer similar programs, but Eldora is currently the only one to do so in Colorado.
