For the first time in sixty years, the city is considering implementing $2-an-hour parking on College Avenue and along nearby streets.

Ultimately, the goal of putting in these meters is to make that area feel less congested and create better parking turnover.
When Will Paid Parking Come to Fort Collins?
Officials say that Fort Collins could bring in an estimated $2.6 million if these changes are made.
Some locals and business owners are skeptical, saying the paid parking could drive people away from shops.
The city council will ultimately decide on this, and if it's approved you will start seeing those meters in Fort Collins by 2027.
