When you think about ticks in Colorado, you probably think about summer. Ticks can cause a lot of problems for you and your pet.

I adopted a dog late last year, and this will be my first summer as a dog owner. I spend a lot more time outside because of my dog, and I want to take every precaution to ensure her safety and mine.

Tick season might be coming to Colorado a little bit earlier than usual this year. It might be time to start considering your preventative measures.

A Fort Collins resident posted on Reddit and warned others that tick season is here. The user was on a walk at Reservoir with their dog and noticed that a tick had latched onto their dog's neck.

Other users on Reddit chimed in and said they had ticks on their pets as well. One user was dumbfounded that they had already dealt with mosquitos.
