Coloradans Appear to Love Lower THC Pot
Colorado became widely known as the "marijuana state" in November of 2012. After over a dozen years, there are many other states with legal marijuana; that has hindered the state's pot industry.
However, those who like a more "mellow" high are keeping recreational marijuana retailers open. Perhaps with more and more people opting for lower-THC marijuana, we'll see more people joining in.
After all, we don't have to get "that" high, right?
Marijuana with Lower-THC Amounts Increase in Sales in Colorado
Without question, recreational marijuana is not for everybody, including myself. It seems every time that I've "gotten high," I've gotten too high and become a bit catatonic; that's not fun for me. According to 9News, maybe I need to take a look at the new trend in the state.
Now, I do have friends who enjoy getting high, and that's fine; it's legal and they're not hurting anyone in doing so. I might join them, but their marijuana is pretty strong as compared to what, and what many other Coloradans are looking for.

According to 9News, who spoke with a retailer, gummies are generally 10mg of marijuana, and people like myself are looking for somewhere between 3 and 5mg. With that dose, many folks can take the edge off continue with their day; they don't "shut down," for hours (like I have done with regular doses of pot.)
Lower THC Marijuana Sales to Seniors in Colorado on the Rise
Being over 50 myself, I do fall into the category of Coloradans who seem to be reaching out more for a lower-dose marijuana; many use it to help them sleep, as it does get more difficult to sleep through the night for many seniors.
That acceptance in the senior community, to use marijuana as a sleeping aid, is helping the recreational marijuana industry in Colorado.
Let's get "low."
