Fort Collins Getting First of Its Kind Low-Cost Dental Care Clinic
Colorado has thousands of dentists and dental clinics. Many Coloradans, however, don't have the money or insurance to get needed dental work done. Folks living in the Fort Collins area will see a high quality, low-cost option in early 2026. The clinic will be a "godsend" to those who just can't afford to go to the dentist, but need to.
My family has a long history of having bad teeth; I remember being in the dentist's chair at a very young age; very scary. As I grew older, things didn't really improve, but we didn't have the money that was needed to get the work that was needed, done. What's coming to Front Range Community College would have been very helpful, in just getting a regular visit, back then.
It really does make a lot of sense: Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students at Front Range Community College (FRCC) will train at the Dental Clinic under supervision and with help from licensed dentists. The clinic (at the Fort Collins campus) will be available to anybody; it won't be a situation where it's based on your income and you have to fill out forms to see if you qualify.

As the students are getting hands-on training, your appointment may take longer than you're accustomed, but you're helping them learn and you're saving, so it is a "win-win."
