A New Way to See Movies Comes to Boulder, Colorado
A very unique way to see movies has come to Boulder, Colorado; if you are really "into" movies, this is going to be fun.
Live Movie Review Comes to Boulder, Colorado
Forget about dine-in seating, this is about getting out of your seat and being a part of the movie. It harkens back to those days where young people would go see "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and throw toast.
Live Movie Review - Where attendees can be a part of the movie being shown
There'll be no "shushing," you can count on that, when you show up at these 'Live Movie Review' events in Boulder. I wouldn't suggest going to see one of the films, if you haven't seen it already; it'll be more fun that way.
How Does this 'Live Movie Review' Work?
Once a movie begins, it will be stopped for discussions and for acting out particular scenes from the movie. The organizers will give suggestions ahead of time as what scenes would be fun to do live, and you can request scenes to do.
It's a lot like Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K,) which was big in the late 80s into mid 90s, where a cast of characters jibed at movies on the screen.
Where is the Movie Theater for These Events?
They're held at the Boulder Public Library, in the Canyon Theater where they have a movie screen and stage. It's really going to feel like MST3K, with just under 200 seats available.
Live Movie Review attendees should enter through the main entrance of the Boulder Public Library - The Canyon Theater is in the north wing.
