Watch a Big Moose Run Through Crowd at Winter Park

A moose was "on the loose" in Colorado's Winter Park ski resort, in February of 2025. The moose startled skiers and the skiers definitely angered/scared the moose.

I don't care how much you love animals and nature, If I saw a moose moving faster than a stroll, I would be scared out of my pants. Cries of "watch out" are heard in this video; if I were there, cries of "get me out of here" would be heard.

A male moose can weigh up to 1,500 pounds while a female one can weigh up to 800 pounds; while it's not clear on what gender this moose was, either way it was large and on the move. You would not want to "mess" with it, in any way.

Located in the Arapahoe-Roosevelt National Forest, Winter Park Resort is beautiful, but also potentially dangerous, when it comes to animals that reside in the forested mountains. I'd think that I would feel I was safer at the resort's village area, but you never know.

Just like this incident recorded in late February of 2025 at Winter Park, where a lone moose 'made a wrong turn" and ended up among a lot of people meandering in the village area. The moose really wanted to pick up speed to get out of there, but found no where to go.

Onlookers worn others to look out for the moose, as it approaches the fence line, then moves back toward the middle. Many seem disinterested in the moose being so close, while others are genuinely concerned.

Many have stated that everyone should have been on alert, as the moose was showing definite signs of being aggressive:

• The laid back ears.
• The raised hairs on the moose's back.
• The lowered head.
• More.

They say, if a moose is reacting to you, you are too close. Though in this situation, I can see if everyone started to move back, there might have been more trouble.
