Massive Cell Phone Outage Leaves Colorado Out of Service
When it comes to the current day in age, easily one of the biggest advancements has become the smartphone.
While it’s so ubiquitous now, if you really take a step back and think about it, we’re truly living in the future.
Not only can you just call and text people, but you essentially have a device that can access almost all of the knowledge and information us humans have been able to come up with. That’s honestly pretty amazing.
However, we start to take this technology at face value these days.
You only really start to take notice how ingrained they are in our daily lives when they lose service, which in Fort Collins, can actually be pretty common.
Recently, though, a massive outage to the United States’ largest cell phone provider has left people all over Colorado without service.
Massive Verizon Outage Leads to Loss of Service for Coloradans
Many Verizon customers in Colorado woke up on Monday morning shocked to find that their phones had absolutely no service.
In fact, a total of 100,000 cases have been reported so far, with there likely being far more unreported instances.
Many people tried troubleshooting the problem, but no matter what, their connection never came back.
According to Denver 7, some of these reports have come directly from Denver. However, it’s not just the Mile High City that’s been affected.
However, people across the state are experiencing this issue. There are posts on both the Fort Collins and Boulder Subreddits talking about the outages. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like everyone who has Verizon is experiencing connectivity issues.
At the moment, the reason for the large scale outage is not yet known.
