However, there is a new, similar game that is growing in popularity that ends up getting participants much messier without the stinging pain of paintballs, and one of the newest facilities will be opening up soon in Colorado.
Beat the Bomb is Coming to Colorado
The game is known as Beat the Bomb and is a crazy combination of high-tech video gaming, virtual reality, laser tag, capture the flag, and paintball all rolled into one.
Beat the Bomb puts two teams against each other, each of which must strategically stop a paint bomb from exploding. As you'll see in the video above, participants dress in jumpsuits with eye protection because the losing team gets bombarded with paint.
Beat the Bomb currently has locations in Washington D.C., Atlanta, Brooklyn, Houston, Philadelphia, and Charlotte, North Carolina but will be expanding to Denver with a new location to open sometime this spring.
The new Denver location will be located in the city's East Rino neighborhood at 3863 Steele Street.
Check out information regarding tickets, how to get on the Denver location's waiting list, and plenty of messy highlights filmed at locations around the country by visiting the official Beat the Bomb website.
