Morrison is a quaint, cute little mountain town just west of C-470 and is home to a few notable places including the aforementioned Red Rocks as well as the now-defunct Bandimere Speedway, but little else typically goes on there.

Mud Factor is Coming to Morrison Colorado in 2025
The event is known as Mud Factor and is a rather extreme athletic challenge that involves, as the title suggests, a lot of mud.
People who take part in competitions like this train vigorously; a necessity in performing well in the messy obstacle course/marathon combo.
This year's event will take place on August 2nd at Thunder Valley Motorcross Park, located just north of Red Rocks and the now-closed Bandimere Speedway.
In total, the Mud Factor fun run is a 5k with obstacles such as mud pits, cargo climbs, water slides, and more.
