It seems that in recent years, there have been entirely too many stories of beloved Colorado stores closing their doors for good.

Luckily, however, a recent announcement from one of the brick-and-mortar music shops in Colorado that has been around for over three decades indicates that while the store is moving out of the spot it has held since its inception, the new location will actually be bigger and will continue to serve the community.

Colorado's Black and Read Music Shop is Moving

The below post was published by Black and Read Books, Music and Games' official Facebook page indicating the upcoming move.

For the past 34 years, Black and Read has served the community with a wide variety of music, games, books, and more from its location at 7821 Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada, Colorado.

The location on Wadsworth Boulevard was positioned just north of I-70 and if you'll notice, there is an additional location called Black and Red II just south of the interstate.

The new location of Black and Read doesn't stray far from the original store's stomping ground as not only will its location at 6655 Wadsworth Boulevard keep the iconic music shop on the same street, but it will actually open up shop a little closer to Black and Red II.

The new location at 6655 Wadsworth will occupy a building that was formerly a Dollar General store. This change will not only see Black and Red gain some additional square footage, but it will be situated in a free-standing building as opposed to a strip mall.

Black and Read also announced a massive sale in conjunction with the move and you can find more information on that by checking out the post on the store's official Facebook page.
