NoCo’s Best Mexican Food: La Buena Vida
More than 10,000 of you voted and chose the finalists for NoCo's Best Restaurants, from BBQ to pizza to breakfast and more. Our judges Matt Sparx, Cassidy, and Steph did some eating, and debating, and chose the winners at Townsquare Media's Taste of Fort Collins.
Here were the finalists for NoCo's Best Mexican Food:
- Cafe Mexicali is a favorite among Northern Coloradans for a quick bite to eat. Cafe Mexicali's Barbacoa Tacos and Molido Quesolle were a fan favorite and we can see why.
- The chicken enchiladas from the Rio Grande were top-notch and packed with flavor. If we were going to base the winners solely off of the beans, the Rio Grande would be taking home top honors as they were outstanding.
La Buena Vida
- La Buena Vida's is a no-frills Mexican restaurant that showcases authenticity. The Chile Rellenos that were picked up via take-out lacked in the presentation department but were more than made up for in their flavor. La Buena Vida also had excellent beans that complimented the main dish.
And the winner of NoCo's Best Mexican Food is...La Buena Vida.
La Buena Vida:
- La Buena Vida had the most flavorful and authentic Mexican food out of the three finalists. La Buena Vida's Chile Rellenos were packed with a peppery flavor and topped with a poblano cream sauce.
