Amy Uhrich Is Colorado's Teacher of the Year for 2022-23

Townsquare Media's Teacher Tuesday is saluting teaching excellence in Northern Colorado by honoring the outstanding educators in our community.

Throughout the 2022-23 school year, you voted for eight incredible educators to be Teacher of the Month. Now, you've chosen one of those teachers to be Teacher of the Year.

Colorado's Teacher of the Year is...

Amy Uhrich, a first grade teacher at Zach Elementary School and our April Teacher of the Month. Ms. Uhrich's student Remy and her mom Amy nominated her because she inspires "a lifelong love of learning and curiosity."

Ms. Uhrich told Townsquare NoCo that she loves to craft creative lessons for her students and help them practice random acts of kindness.

When she's not teaching, Ms. Uhrich likes attending concerts and watching Hallmark movies with happy endings.

To thank Ms. Uhrich for working hard to serve local students in our community, we're honoring her with $500 to her school and a Grand Prize Pack with gifts from The Great Outdoors RV, Breeze Thru Car Wash, Woodhouse Spa, and Fort Collins Kia and Fort Collins Nissan.
