Window Peeper Reported on CSU’s Campus
Earlier this week, the Colorado State University Police Department received a report of a window peeper on campus.
Just before midnight on January 19, a caller reported a suspect, that was seen masturbating in a tree on the north side of Edwards Hall.
Multiple witnesses described the suspect as a male, and wearing a very dark, possibly green puffy or thick winter coat and black pants. He was also carrying a large backpack.
A CSU security camera captured images of the suspect getting into a vehicle and leaving campus. CSUPD believes the man was driving a white 2008 to 2010 year Toyota Scion XB.
Shortly after midnight, he reportedly drove drove off campus, toward the south on Meridian and Whitcomb. The suspect had been parked on Hughes Street, directly north of Academic Village, police say, and is believed to have driven to that spot around 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Anyone with information is asked to call CSUPD at 970-491-6425. CSU reminds students that the residence halls have multiple levels of security, and to never allow someone to "tailgate" into a dorm after using a keycard to enter. In addition, police encourage residents to report anyone who is behaving suspiciously by calling 911 from campus to reach CSUPD, or 911 off campus to reach Fort Collins Police Services.
