Previous reports of this story alluded to this happening in Windsor, Colo. As further information has been presented, the incident occurred in Windsor, Ontario. 

On Sunday, Aug. 15 in the afternoon, Windsor police pulled a man over in a routine traffic stop off Ouellette Avenue. In the release, police stated the man was seen operating the motorized scooter in a way that was against traffic laws.

After the traffic stop, the investigation revealed that the scooter was previously reported as stolen. Officers arrested the 51-year-old man for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

The man was searched, and officers discovered illicit drugs and currency. The suspect was found to be in possession of 23.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1.6 grams of red fentanyl. He was charged for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficiking for both drug possessions.
