On Friday night, Sept. 24, Windsor Police responded to a reported fight at Windsor High School, according to a release from the department.

As police presence is already the norm at football games, backup officers from the Windsor area and surrounding agencies arrived after the report came in around 8:50 p.m.

When the initial report was made, it was suspected someone involved in the fight was possibly in possession of a firearm.

The incident is actively under investigation. The Town of Windsor was sure to include that the report of the firearm's involvement in the fight is currently unsubstantiated.

No further information is available at this time, and we will continue to update the story as it develops.

For anyone who has information and has not yet informed police, Windsor Police encourage anyone to come forward and contact Detective Thomas Olson with the Windsor Police Department at (970)-674-6436 or email Detective Olson at tolson@windsorgov.com.
