The NFL Draft is always a great time of year for football fans. It can be about your favorite NFL team getting to pick from some of the best young players coming out of college to hopefully help your team, you supporting your favorite college team and the players coming from that college team (such as Colorado State), or just seeing the raw and natural reactions coming from these young men as they hear their names called and the excitement of their families and their loved ones with them. It truly is a special time.

This year, the Colorado State Rams had one player drafted and a few others that got opportunities to land a permanent spot on an NFL roster after signing as free agents.

Even though their senior season didn't go quite as well as planned, these young men left it all on the field for the green and gold and their efforts were recognized and rewarded by either getting drafted or getting an opportunity to sign as a free agent.

Let's meet these former Rams that we'll hopefully be hearing a lot of and seeing a lot this year and the many years to follow on Sundays playing in the National Football League.

1. Trey McBride

The only Ram actually drafted this year was the John Mackay Award winner for best tight end in college football, Trey was absolutely brilliant and a real treat to watch. Personally, I think he's going to be a star in the NFL. Good luck in AZ Trey.

The best part of the draft is watching the reactions of players and loved ones. Check out the reaction from Trey and his crew.

A lifetime of hard work gets paid off.

While Trey was the only Ram actually drafted, here are the other players that were signed immediately after the draft as free agents and where they will be playing.

We here at K99 and Townsquare Media are so proud to be your official home for the Colorado State Rams!
