Summer in Colorado can be pretty hot at times, so we've got five cool Colorado pool & water park options to cool you down from all of this Colorado heat.
5 Colorado Pool & Water Park Options
No, Colorado doesn't have the heat that Arizona or Florida might have, but it can still get pretty toasty outside in the box state. When the temps rise, the best way to cool off is to go splish splash in the local pools or water parks around town. All about Colorado posted their five favorite water parks around Colorado. Do you agree with what pools made their list?
5. H2O'Brien Pool in Parker, Colo.
To kick off the list, it's the H2O'Brien Pool in Parker. I'd never heard of this pool until just recently so I've no personal experience here, but it looks awesome!
4. Gaylord Of The Rockies In Aurora, Colo.
We really enjoy our visits to the Gaylord. Typically we go during Christmas and the outdoor portion of their pool is chilly but the inside is where the awesome slides are anyway.
3. Island Kingdom Water Park in Denver, Colo.
Combo'd with Elitch Gardens in Denver, Island Kingdom is Colorado's second-largest water park in Colorado. Best part? It's "free" if you buy an Eliches ticket. We really enjoy Island Kingdom but their water is always freezing cold. My son is so skinny that he can't stand the ice-cold water there. If cold water is "cool" with you, you'll love this awesome water park.
2. Pirate Cove Family Aquatic Center In Englewood, Colo.
Pirates Cove Family Aquatic Center has been a south Denver summer favorite since I was a kid. I don't think I've been more than a couple of times, but I know that we had a blast.
1. Water World In Federal Heights, Colo.
Promoted as America's Biggest, America's Best, Water World is an obvious number 1 as far as the best Water Park options in Colorado. Heck, maybe the entire country.
