The Broncos are coming home for the first time to play in front of a sold-out crowd at Empower Field at Mile High, and that hasn't happened for almost two years because of COVID restrictions last season.

The New York Jets will be rolling into town looking to avenge an 0-2 start and get on the winning side of things for the 2021 season. The Jets have some talent on both sides of the ball led by first-year coach Robert Saleh who did an incredible job with the 49ers' defense over the last few years.

Unfortunately for the Jets, they've suffered a couple of injuries during the preseason. But don't expect the Broncos to feel sorry for them as they are battling their own injuries on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Both Bradley Chubb and Josey Jewell are ruled out for not only this game but for a fair few each. Chubb will be out for the next few weeks at least, and Jewell has a torn pectoral that will keep him out for the remainder of the year. Expect the Jets to attempt to exploit that ailing Broncos defense with some screen passes and plays to the tight end directly going after the linebackers, especially the middle backers.

The Jets and Broncos have met 38 times with the Broncos holding a 21-16-1 edge.  Their last meeting was last season on Monday Night Football with the Broncos winning that game 37-28 behind backup quarterback Brett Rypien.

The Jets last defeated the Broncos back in 2018 at Met Life Stadium with their last win in the Mile High City coming in 2010 when they flew away with a 24-20 win.

The Jets will be showing off the #2 overall pick from this past year's draft in quarterback Zach Wilson who has a ton of talent and is a real treat to watch. Sure, he's had a bit of a rough start, but when this kid finds his rhythm, it's going to be something to watch because he can beat you with his arm and his feet. Let's just hope he doesn't find his rhythm this week against the Broncos.
