Check Out the Treehouse this Fort Collins Company is Building
A Fort Collins-based company is in the business of designing and building highly crafted, beautiful spaces that encourage play, fuel the imagination, and inspire wonder.
Tree-Craft has been specializing in creating amazing treehouses since 2015. Their projects include everything from simple tree-forts and playhouses to playgrounds, epic treehouse/playhouse wonderlands, adult retreat spaces, and livable Airbnb-style treehouses that feature all the amenities of home.
The company's most recent architectural project is a functional treehouse in Black Hawk, Colorado. Once it's finished, the treehouse will serve as a short-term rental property, offering guests a one-of-a-kind stay in the woods.
Tree-Craft routinely posts updates on the progress of the Black Hawk project.
The "cabin on stilts" has come a long way since the foundation was first laid out back in April. According to the property owners who are commissioning the build, the wooden exterior of the treehouse is fully finished, and the windows have also been installed. Insulation has been taken care of and eighty percent of the lighting is in place, including the LED drawers that are built into the bed. The plumbing inside the structure properly works. Although things like the TV, antler chandelier, and cozy fireplace have already been installed, more work on the interior still needs to be done before visitors can stay at the rustic rental.
Once construction is totally finished, the 608-square-foot layout will include a bridge lined with netting, a deck, and a spiral staircase that leads up to two loft spaces. Other design features are a small but functional kitchen, full bathroom, breakfast nook, and a comfy living room. There will also be Wi-Fi and an indoor/outdoor sound system that's Bluetooth capable.
The log cabin sits 37 feet above the ground among the trees.
The treehouse has already passed inspections and eager travelers are already booking reservations through VRBO. A maximum of 5 guests can stay at one time.
The rental sits on private land in the National Forest. There's plenty of hiking nearby and a peaceful stream that flows next to the treehouse.
