2022 has come to a close, and many Colorado restaurants have gone with it.
Lingering stress from the COVID-19 pandemic, financial struggles, and retirements have forced many eateries to say goodbye to the Centennial State.
Others appear to have shut down involuntarily — and some left without a word.

Many of these restaurants, like Fort Collins' famous Canino's or Denver's iconic Bonnie Brae Tavern, were beloved and will be missed.
A few, like one of the Choice City's many Starbucks locations or College Avenue's controversial Italian restaurant, might become distant memories in 2023.

Colorado lost more than just restaurants this year too. Some of the Centennial State's favorite shops, creameries, and bars also shut down in the past 12 months.
