Colorado School Bus Converted to a Traveling Tiny Home For Sale

The tiny home trend is gaining popularity all across the country. These petite pads are a great option for individuals trying to downsize, those wanting to have a minimalist lifestyle, or people who live their lives on the go.

Unique things like shipping containers, train cars, and buses are even being transformed into tiny houses. Tiny homes on wheels give the people living in them the freedom to plan all kinds of adventures and take off on the open road whenever they please.

Recently, we've seen a school bus that was transformed into a tiny home for sale in Fort Collins, as well as a converted Winter Park shuttle that was made into a fully-liveable dwelling. Now, another big yellow school bus has been turned into a tiny house and is currently for sale in Centennial, Colorado.

The 1995 - TC2000 - Bluebird handy bus has been revamped into a 247 square-foot mobile dwelling. While the bus has been well kept-up with, the seller does note that the interior is only about 80 percent finished, so some extra TLC will have to go into fixing up the aesthetic of the abode.

The current owner has installed a few amenities though, including a simple composting toilet system with a diverter. The kitchen has a deep sink, plus an oven and gas range.  Plumbing is all set to build a shower space and there is already an on-demand water heater. There's also a diesel heater included in the sale, which can easily be hooked up. A solar system keeps the bus lit when the sun goes down.

The tiny house is listed as having two bedrooms. There are two pull-out sofas - one is a twin and the other is a full-sized mattress. There's also a twin Murphy bed that can be folded up and has a desk underneath because multi-functional spaces are so important in tiny homes.

Maintenance work was done on the engine and other parts of the skoolie in the summer of 2020. Since then, it's been parked in a storage facility, so it's guaranteed to be in good working condition.

The bright yellow home on wheels is 33 feet long. Being equipped with RV hookups, this rig is ready to take on all kinds of off-grid adventures.
