Crawfish Boils are Back in Fort Collins
Colorado may be close to 1,000 miles away from Louisiana, but that doesn't stop us from getting our fix of delicious Cajun cuisine. Even with the distance, lots of NoCo locals look forward to celebrating some of the Southern traditions, such as Mardi Gras and, arguably, one of the tastiest crawfish boils.
Lucky for all the mudbug lovers out there, it's that time of year again. The Lost Cajun in Fort Collins recently announced, via social media, that their annual crawfish boils have started back up as of last Saturday, March 27.
Before even stepping into the restaurant on Meldrum Street, those passing by can smell the spices and crawdads simmering in a large pot outside of the front doors. The Lost Cajun gets the crawfish shipped directly to them from Louisiana every weekend.
The boils will continue weekly at 5 p.m. on Saturday nights for the remainder of the season. It's a good idea to get there early because there's limited quantities, and it's always first come, first served until they run out.
Customers can order a crawfish platter by the pound, which comes with a piece of spicy Cajun sausage, corn on the cob and a potato. In addition, diners can just get the crawfish served solo. Amazingly, the current in-house record is 11 pounds of crawfish in one sitting. The full menu is still available during the crawfish boils.
The crawfish are available for dine-in or carry-out. For the most up-to-date information, availability and serving times, be sure to follow @lostcajunfoco on Instagram and Facebook.
