About 30 minutes before the scheduled tip off between the CSU Rams and the New Mexico Lobos on Tuesday (Feb. 9), the game and series was called off.

According to a press release from the team, The Rams and Lobos were supposed to tangle for two games this week at Moby Arena until the last minute announcement.

Sources say local health officials presumed Lobos head coach was going to test positive after showing some symptoms and having close contacts.

Better safe than sorry.

The CSU men's basketball team is slated to take the court next for a series in Reno to tangle with the Nevada Wolfpack. The Rams currently sit in second place just behind Utah State with a 14-4 record.

The Rams have a legitimate shot at the NCAA tournament this year, there's a lot that goes into it but Rams reporter Kevin Lytle of Coloradoan breaks it down for you HERE.

Let's hope to see CSU dancing come this spring.
