Famous Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit Coming to Denver in September
If you're a fan of the arts, then this is something you have to gogh (sorry, not sorry) to.
The Original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit is making its debut at the former Regency Hotel, now known as Lighthouse Denver (3900 Elati St.), on September 30.
According to event organizers, the exhibit will feature over 500,000 cubic feet of projections that animate Van Gogh's most famous works, including The Potato Eaters (1885), Starry Night (1889), Sunflowers (1888), The Bedroom (1889), and more.
"You will be immersed in Van Gogh's works — from his sunny landscapes and night scenes to his portraits and still life paintings," said organizers. "Astonishing in scale and breathtakingly imaginative, you will experience Van Gogh's art in a completely new and unforgettable way."
The Original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit began in Paris and has since wowed crowds in metropolitan cities like Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and more.
However, organizers tailor the experience to the city that it is in. Denver's exhibit will feature designs from David Korins, an Emmy Award-winning designer who is famous for his work on the set of Hamilton.
Along with visuals, the event also boasts a soundtrack by Italian composer Luca Longobardi, who worked on the original exhibit with its creator, Massimiliano Siccardi.
The show will run until February 6. Tickets, including VIP and FLEX specials, are on sale now here. COVID-19 precautions — such as capacity limits, mask requirements, temperature checks, social distancing, and more — will be in place.
"Renowned for transforming venues into unforgettable art experiences, the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit strives to highlight the unique architecture of its spaces while integrating influences from its history and community," reads the exhibit's website. "Get ready to be transported the second you step inside."
