The phrase, 'spreads like wildfire' is ringing painfully true right now in colorful Colorado.

Governor Jared Polis issued a 30-day statewide fire ban Wednesday morning.

“We need to do everything that we can to prevent fires from starting in the first place,” Polis told the Denver Post.

He warned Coloradans that, especially with current weather conditions, something as simple as a cigarette could start a fire that costs our economy millions, according to the Denver Post.

Larimer County is currently under an air quality advisory and you can literally see ash falling from the sky. Considering we are in the heat of a respiratory pandemic and our air quality is terrible, there has never been a better time to stay indoors.
