Illegal Drug and Firearm Operation Disrupted By Northern Colorado Drug Task Force
On Aug. 19, the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force announced that while investigating a drug operation in Northern Colorado, they also found the operation was illegally manufacturing firearms. The task force, in conjunction with several other Northern Colorado law enforcement agencies, seized several units of illegal possessions.
Search warrants were issued on Aug. 18, and firearms manufacturing equipment, firearms, and firearms parts were taken in the sweep. The seize also included an illegal short shotgun.
In addition to the firearms materials found, officers also seized what they suspect is methamphetamine, heroin, and ecstasy. There were also a few objects of stolen property that were recovered as well.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office reports that the investigation is still ongoing and they anticipate future arrests related to the operation.
