Although the COVID-19 death toll in Larimer County didn't rise over the weekend, the county recorded a total of 18 deaths during the month of February, including the youngest death the county has accounted for during the pandemic: a 25-year-old Loveland man who died on February 13.

Larimer County has recorded a total of 19,519 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic first began last March.

As of Monday (Mar. 1), the county's coronavirus risk rating was ranked medium with a 4.4% positivity rate over the past two weeks, according to the Larimer County Department of Health website. 

Larimer County's overall prevalence rate, over a 14-day period, stood at 295 cases per 100,000 residents on Monday.

Of the cases during the past 30 days, the largest age group that tested positive for COVID-19 was residents between 18 and 24 years old; the second largest group was those 24 to 34 years old.

Both age groups combined account for 45% of the 1,733 cases reports recorded last month, as per COVID-19 information from the county.

Over 93,000 Larimer County residents have received the COVID-19 vaccine to date. Of those, 60,313 people have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 32,735 people are considered to be fully vaccinated.
