The Larimer County Humane Society issued a statement in the afternoon of July 30 saying they are prepared to offer assistance to anyone in need if they're affected by flash floods happening through the weekend.

The National Weather Service has sent several alerts throughout Friday warning of flash flooding and severe thunderstorms that are expected through the weekend.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has also issued a voluntary evacuation order for residents along Highway 14. The office encourages residents to prepare for potential mandatory evacuation orders. The statement also reminded people to "avoid areas already flooded, especially if water is flowing fast. Do not attempt to cross flowing streams and never drive through flood roadways."
