With Valentine's Day coming up, I can't think of a better love story to inspire us all than this couple coming straight from the "Sweetheart City" of Loveland.

Henry and Mildred Schuler recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. The 25th is silver, the 50th is gold, and for the 75th - it's known as the diamond anniversary.

These two lovebirds are certainly a couple of diamonds in the rough as their love story continues to unfold.

January 5, 1947, was their wedding day. They're originally from Kansas and met when the two were living and working on neighboring farms back in the day - and the rest is history.

When asked what advice they would give to younger couples, Henry told the Reporter-Herald this: “You’d better be loving,” he said. “Once in a while, the road gets bumpy.”.

The couple’s daughter, Linda Schoon, says that her parents are still pretty healthy outside of Henry not being able to see very well and her mother, who can’t hear well anymore.

However, just like they've done for the past 75 years, they have each other's backs and they help each other through the home where she reads newspapers from her hometown and he drinks coffee with a men’s group, and where they both visit with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

These two lovebirds are so inspiring, we here at Townsquare Media wish them nothing but good health and happiness for more years to come.

Congratulations Henry and Mildred and 75 years of marriage - an incredible accomplishment!
