In one form or another, we're all in search of peace. Peace of mind, peace and quiet, and whatever peace you might be looking for. If you are looking for a town that is peaceful, there are plenty in the state of Colorado. However, one, in particular, made the list of the 20 Most Peaceful Places to Live in the US by Money Inc.

I can think of at least a dozen communities in the state of Colorado that would be on this list right off the bat. The location that Money Inc. chose is not on my list of communities. Maybe because I wasn't expecting it? Or is it that I do not feel that the community is peaceful? I am not really sure. What I do know is that I am surprised considering it is a college town known for partying.

Boulder, Colorado

Boulder is considered one of the most peaceful places to live in the United States according to Money Inc. As I said before, I was not expecting Boulder to be one of the places on the list, as every time I am in Boulder, it feels a bit hectic. That might be the perspective of an outsider looking in, but that is just how I feel when I am there.

Money Inc. gave a compelling list of reasons why Boulder, Colorado is a peaceful place to live. Boulder is considered one of the most relaxed cities due to the city being well-known for marijuana. Money Inc. also lists Boulder as having excellent working conditions, healthcare, and a good place for entrepreneurs to establish themselves.

Overall, Boulder ranked 16th in the Top 20 Peaceful Places to Live in the US. The number one spot went to Green Banks, West Virginia. According to Money Inc., Green Banks, West Virginia doesn't even allow cell phones within the city limits. Talk about peaceful.
