Southern Colorado is a No Go For Weldwerks Brewing Taproom

Greeley's WeldWerks Brewing Co. has announced that the plans for a Southern Colorado taproom are coming to a halt.

The announcement was made on Tuesday via WeldWerks' Facebook page. Citing the majority of the reasons to cease operations was due to significant delays in the supply chain, labor shortages from COVID-19, and major increases in the budget for the project.

WeldWerks Brewing Co. has been working on the Colorado Springs taproom project for three years. In those three years, WeldWerks has reached the limit for production capacity at the Greeley location. With the growth of WeldWerks Brewing, expansion was needed. Some of the expansion projects included a 30-bbl brewhouse along with product expansion to fill current and future demands.

Personally, one of the most exciting expansions for WeldWerks is the expansion of their barrel aging production. The barrel aging project at WeldWerks has increased by more than 100 percent.

WeldWerks states that the brewery has made the decision to scrap the Colorado Springs taproom for the best interest of the brewery, staff, and patrons of WeldWerks Brewing Co. Additionally, WeldWerks Brewing Co. said they are fortunate to not have to make any personnel changes as a result of not moving forward with the Colorado Springs taproom.
