Teacher Tuesday: October's Teacher of the Month Is Jordyn Utesch

Townsquare Media is saluting teaching excellence in Northern Colorado with Teacher Tuesday.

You nominated seven local teachers for going above and beyond in October, and we asked you to vote for your favorite educator to be Teacher of the Month.

Now, the results are in.

October's Teacher of the Month is...

Jordyn Utesch, a second grade teacher at Bethke Elementary School. Ms. Utesch's student Logan nominated her for making "school a safe place for me to learn and have fun."

Ms. Utesch told Townsquare NoCo that her favorite thing about being a teacher is seeing her students' love for learning, stating that they "bring such a fantastic energy and perspective to school every day, and getting to see it firsthand is the reason that I do what I do."

When she's not teaching, Ms. Utesch likes listening to country music and watching New Girl.
