Each week, Townsquare Media, sponsored by FNBO, will be highlighting a Northern Colorado high school athlete as part of Townsquare Media’s High School MVP program. Each of these athletes has had an outstanding presence on the court or field and has been submitted or selected as our MVP of the week.

As fall high school sports are in the full swing of things for playoffs, all eyes now turn to football.

As teams progress through the 3A State Championship Playoffs, the currently undefeated Roosevelt Roughriders are the team to beat.

Donning an 11-0 overall record for the 2021 season, the Roosevelt varsity boys football team is hyper-focused on their next opponent on Saturday, Nov. 20: Holy Family. But, for them to get to the upcoming quarterfinal game, the Roughriders had a huge contribution from junior running back and cornerback Ryan Doucette.

Because of Ryan's performance in Roosevelt's 56-15 victory over Thomas Jefferson in the first game of playoffs, he has been named this week's Townsquare Media High School MVP!

Ryan led the team in rushing and all-purpose yards while notching three solo blocks and one rushing touchdown.

We sat down with Ryan to look ahead at the road through playoffs and what has contributed to the team's indisputable success throughout the 2021 season!
