Windsor’s Future Legends Sports Complex Aims to Strengthen the NoCo Community
Although it's located in Windsor, the upcoming Future Legends Sports Complex is on a mission to strengthen the entire Northern Colorado community — and not just physically.
Rumored to be a "sports Disneyland," the complex will feature an impressive set of amenities, including multiple baseball diamonds, multi-purpose fields, a bubble dome, a stadium, restaurants, hotels, and more.
On top of these tangible items, the team at Future Legends also hopes to bring a heightened sense of pride and camaraderie to Northern Colorado.
"I know the potential of this experience for anyone who comes to visit us at Future Legends," said Rachel Levitsky, Director of Marketing and Communications at Future Legends, in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "That's a cornerstone of our business model...making sure that we impact the Windsor and Northern Colorado community as a whole, and provide them a place to call their own."
While this impact will come in the form of professional sports teams, it will also shine through young athletes from all walks of life.
Future Legends will remain the home of Windsor's Parks and Recreation programming, and add a multitude of new opportunities for youth, including more uncommon sports, like Quidditch, and the Miracle Field, an athletic outlet for those with special needs.
Even those who aren't sports fans can still enjoy the complex. The center also plans to host concerts, festivals, philanthropic events, and more.
"We want to make sure that we give back to the entire community," said Levitsky. "This is in Northern Colorado's backyard. We want you to feel like it's yours."
