9 Things To Know About New Broncos Coach Nathaniel Hackett
Even though we're going to sit through another Super Bowl not watching the Denver Broncos, there is still a lot of excitement in Broncos Country for football. In addition to the despised Kansas City Chiefs getting knocked out of Super Bowl contention last week by the Cincinnati Bengals, there is a lot of excitement and anticipation for the 2022 season with the arrival of new head coach Nathaniel Hackett from the Green Bay Packers.
Outside of being the offensive coordinator for one of the most explosive offenses in all of football for the past few seasons, most people don't know much more than that...if anything at all. So I thought it would be fun to dig up some fun facts about the Broncos' new head coach as we ready get ready for a new era of Broncos football and after the past 6+ years...a good change is exactly what is needed and is refreshing in more ways than one.

1. Meeting the man and his family
2.His players in Green Bay already miss him
3. Aaron Rodgers loved him...and he loved Aaron. Does that mean there will be a little reunion in Denver? Only time will tell and we will find out soon enough.
4. Coach Hackett likes to make football fun for the players Which wasn't always the case with the Broncos last couple of coaches but then again there wasn't a whole lot of winning going on and what's the most fun you can have playing sports? WINNING! Winning is fun so let's GO!
5. Nathaniel Hackett Won In Jacksonville
That right there is enough for me to be sold on the man. If you can win in Jacksonville, you can win ANYWHERE.
He helped lead the Jags to the 2017 AFC Championship and was a mere 4 points away from beating the Patriots in New England to make it to the Super Bowl...the JAGUARS!
The Jaguars led the NFL in rushing that year and talk about miracles of all miracles, he made Blake Bortles look like a solid NFL quarterback that year as he had his highest quarterback rating ever, which isn't really saying much in itself until you realize it was one of the best in the entire NFL that year so yeah...the man can coach!
6. Coach Hackett is a neurobiology major
Ok I don't even know what this is but the man is really smart...and not just football smart!
7. The Hackett Family is a true football family
Coach Hackett's Dad, Paul was involved with coaching for over 40 years in the collegiate and professional ranks for teams like USC, The University of Pittsburgh, the Browns, 49ers, Cowboys, Chiefs, Jets and Bucs, among others. He grew up in locker rooms and was able to be around legends like Marty Schottenheimer and Marcus Allen when they were in Kansas City. Hopefully that fuels Coach Hackett to want to annihilate the Chiefs when we play them!
8. The Packers have had the best record in the NFL since Hackett has been their offensive coordinator.
The Packers are 39-10 in the regular season since Hackett became their offensive coordinator 3 years ago. The Broncos record over that same stretch is 19-30.
